Something that I find fun and exciting about being pregnant is the need to shop! Not just for the essential baby needs but for yourself. Maternity clothes are so cute, but wow are they ever expensive.
When I found Kiki’s Fashions, I breathed a sigh of relief. You can find such cute clothes for a really low price. The picture to the left, I looked at a similar shirt at a maternity store in one of my recenet trips to the mall and they wanted over $40 for it. At Kiki’s Fashion’s it’s only $20.99.
I think the jaw droppers are the price of their maternity jeans. I recently paid over $60 for a pair of maternity jeans at a local store, for similar looking jeans at Kiki’s Fashions – $29.99. Ya, $29.99 for jeans! That’s awesome.
I have a hard time justifying spending a lot of money on maternity clothes. The way I see it is that you don’t spend a lot of time wearing the clothes yourself. So why spend hundreds? I started wearing maternity clothes at about four months, so that’s only five months of wear (while pregnant). I understand you wear maternity clothes for a little bit after you have the baby, but it still doesn’t justify the cost for me. What can I say I’m cheap frugal, so I’m loving Kiki’s Fashion’s cheap maternity clothes. They even have an under $10 section!
I was sent the above pair of jeans to review. I’m a small at other maternity stores, but with my measurements and the size guide at Kiki’s I went with a medium. I should have stuck with small, medium is a little too big. The look of the jeans is great. You cannot tell that they are maternity jeans by looking at them. The belly band is thin and you cannot see it through your shirt, but I wish it was a little more supportive (it could be lacking support due to the wrong size I ordered). Another feature I wish the jeans had was a belt loop. I have a hard time pulling up these jeans without it (for those of you who don’t know, with maternity jeans there are no buttons or zippers, only for show). Either way for less then $30 you’re getting a lot of “bang for your buck”.
