Nail art has grown so much in the last couple years. Gone are the days of “basic manicures” girls these days like to make a statement and I’m excited to tell you all about a company that will let you do just that.

I have never been one to take care of my nails, it has always been the last on my list (I know, I know) but as of lately I have been noticing all these ladies with polished looks that make me want to do better. When it comes to my manicures, I like the natural look the best. It’s classic, but when I had the opportunity to review Jamberry Nails I wanted to step out of my comfort zone and do something fun.
I am a huge jungle print fanatic. Zebra, leopard and giraffe are all my favorite prints these days and I was thrilled (and excited) to see that Jamberry had fun nail shields to accompany my love with their collection: The Wild Side. I still wanted to keep it as neutral as I could, so I opted for the Giraffe.
The application itself was relatively easy (I wish I took photos of my application process, but I wasn’t thinking that far ahead and then it was too late).
You have a sheet of your print shaped in long ovals and you peel off one oval (I found that one oval will do two nails so I cut them in half). Then comes the blow dryer, on a warm setting blast the paper (it’s very similar to a sticker) until it’s easily bendable and apply. You then fold the top around your nails and blast with hot air again to seal. (Before I forget, you have to buff your nails before hand.)
Okay, so the above instructions are not my best work (I was using memory). I found Jamberry’s YouTube video and thought you (my readers) would appreciate a professional’s approach:
I really like Jamberry Nails and the prints that they have. They have a huge selection and there is something for everyone. I had one or two nails that only lasted a day. I tried to re-heat them but the nail shield wouldn’t stay. From the above YouTube video it was stated that the nail sheilds should last quite a while, so I’m not sure if it was user error or what (probably was, from working in the customer service industry in the past I have learned that the majority of the time – it’s user error).
