Exederm Eczema & Dermatitis Control Cream

I worked with exederm back in 2010. In that post I explained how exederm was great eczema relief for my my super sensitive skin. It’s been a year and a half since that post and a lot has changed. I had a baby in March and, just like his mom, he has terribly sensitive skin as well.

Since he was born Carter has had nothing but terrible rashes (even in the NICU with the nurses looking after him). I kept thinking they were diaper rashes and that I was doing something wrong. It didn’t make sense, I was using cloth wipes with just warm water, cloth diapers and organic baby wash but yet, he was still breaking out in horrible and painful red splotches.

After finally taking him to the doctor, I learned he had some sort of skin disorder and since I have super sensitive skin this is something that he may never grow out of. I was given a prescription, but now that it’s up I have been lightly applying exederm’s Flare Control Cream. Since I have started with the cream, Carter doesn’t seem to be having as bad of rashes as he was having before. I know this cream is originally for eczema and dermatitis, but due to the fact that it omits the following made me want to try it:
  • No Fragrance
  • No Color or Dyes
  • No Parabens
  • No Lanolin
  • No SLS or SLES
  • No Propylene Glycol
  • No Formaldehyde
  • No Phthalates
The flare control cream is the only paraben free hydrocortisone cream and it’s potency is high, any higher and you would need a prescription.
exederm is a brand name that I trust with myself, and so far it has worked well on Carter. To find out where you can purchase exederm and to learn more about all their products visit exederm.com.
