Sabra | 2012 Oscar Swag Bag W/ Hummus Garlic Bread recipe

I have had the coolest opportunity to take part in. I received a few samples that were included in the 2012 Oscar Swag Bag. How awesome is that? Who knows, maybe myself and the lovely Kristen Wig are wearing the same UnicBody while getting our sweat on or munching on carrots and Sabra hummus

I love hummus. I use it as a dip, a spread for sandwiches, I’ve even been known to eat it with a spoon (okay, too much of a visual of me at 11 p.m). I have tried Sabra’s brand before and I have only known them for hummus. I had no idea that they are also experts in salsas, veggie dips, guacamole, and other vegetarian options such as tahini, babaganoush, and more.
Sabra puts passion behind their products, making sure that when you share their products with your family you’re consuming quality product and taste. The recipes used to make Sabra are authentic and the ingredients are always fresh. Sabra is dedicated to supplying nutrition to their customers and you will find fresh herbs and other ingredients in their dips/sauces grown right in the US (with exception of the guac which have avocados from Mexico).

My favorite product is the roasted garlic hummus. You can see the garlic in it’s true form and I feel confident on eating it. Knowing I won’t be consuming a lot of chemicals and “fake” food. There are also many unique varieties such as: Basil Pesto Hummus, Buffalo Chicken Hummus, Jalapeno Hummus and many more.
If you visit the Sabra website you will also find recipes. From breakfast to appies Sabra has you covered. I’m excited to share with you a mouthwatering temptation (any other carb-o-holic’s out there?)…

Hummus Garlic Bread

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf French bread (about 12-14 inches long)
  • 1 container Sabra Roasted Garlic Hummus
  • 1-2 tablespoons chopped garlic
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese

Directions

    1. Preheat Broiler
    2. Slice French bread in half length wise. Set aside
    3. Mix Sabra Roasted Garlic Hummus and garlic together in a small mixing bowl. Spread hummus mixture on French bread halves. Place bread on a baking sheet. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese
    1. Broil bread on a wire baking rack located in the middle of the oven, not too close to the broiler. Broil 2-5 minutes or until edges are crispy and the cheese is browning. Watch the bread closely as broilers vary greatly in their timing.
    2. Cut each half of bread into quarters. Serve warm
