Until this new year The Fairy Hobmother was a foreign (and a rather strange) term for me. It wasn’t until January where a few blogging communities I am apart of lit up with posts about his visits. So who is he exactly and what does he do?
The Fairy Hobmother is Matt Mitchel and he pays random blogs a visit and offers a gift (we all love gifts, don’t we?) for all the hard work and dedication that has been put into that particular blog. It’s a pretty simple concept: leave a comment, get found and receive a gift. Usually bloggers receive an Amazon gift card, which is awesome. Who DOESN’T love Amazon?
As a blogger, it is incredibly rewarding to receive recognition for all my hard work. Most people don’t realize all the sweat and tears that go into a blog (not blood, that would just be weird). Even if I’m not posting, I am always doing something about the blog. There is a lot of behind the scenes work. Especially lately where it’s been incredibly stressful (with an eighteen hour move, a first birthday party and a LOT of packing and cleaning it’s been really hard for me to get my blogging done).
