This week/weekend I went camping for the first time in almost ten years. I’m sure there will be more to come now that I’m back in British Columbia.

So that’s my new front door. Haha! It’s very Beauty & The Beast (my favorite movie). We probably won’t replace it, we have so much work to do with everywhere else in this house. Sigh…
Back to more unpacking, cleaning and organizing.

The conversation my husband and I had last week. I think I may be in a fashion rut.

I grew up in the Bulkley Valley in British Columbia, surrounded by mountains. The last seven years I spent in the prairies of Alberta and this week we packed up and hauled ourselves and our belongings to Terrace, BC. It wasn’t until Jasper where I witnessed a familiar site, that (before) I was only able to experience once a year – mountains. I safely made it to Terrace on Saturday (barely eking by the 100 car pile up in Edmonton) and I’m blogging in my hotel next to my new everyday view: magnificent snow capped mountains.

Two weeks ago Carter had his first year photos and Cake Smash done by Beckie Lynne Photography. Here are the amazing photos that came out of the session.
These ones were featured on the Beckie Lynn Photography Facebook page. Be sure to head on over there and give her a “Like”.
It’s hard to believe that he’s a year old already. Where did the time go?

On Friday Carter celebrated his first birthday. Here are a few highlights (including a signed Vancouver Canucks jersey – his dad is very jealous).

On Sunday we had Carter’s cake smash, and I wanted to use my giant cupcake pan. I’m pretty proud of the results.

This weekend I flew to Kelowna to go wedding dress shopping with my best friend. When I landed and turned on my phone I received a cluster of texts from my husband. Long story short: he was offered a job closer to our hometown of Houston, BC and we’re moving. So this is what my office looks like now, this doesn’t even show my desk where my computer is or my closet. With blogging, keeping Carter entertained, organizing, selling items I no longer need and packing – my Type A personality is in personal hell. Working on the toughest room first and hopefully the rest will be a breeze.
