It’s just the three of us here in our household and Carter is 11 months, so you would think that our grocery bill is pretty small. It’s not. It’s not like we buy a lot of stuff either, but it’s a lot of meat and produce. So when I had the opportunity to learn how to save as much money as possible while grocery shopping I jumped at the chance to read Budget Savvy Diva’s Guide To Slashing Your Grocery Bill by 50% or More.

Before I make my “trek” to the grocery store, I like to be prepared. I am known to make my menu plan and then go through every planned meal and write down everything I need (and double triple checking). There is nothing worse then coming home from the grocery store only to realize I forgot something, and it’s normally an item that I need. We’ve all done it. So when I received Supermarket Smarty I knew this was going to a very useful tool (especially for something as forgetful as I am).
Supermarket Smarty is a wipe off grocery list planner and coupon holder. It acts just like your own mini whiteboard. My first concern with Supermarket Smarty was that I thought the ink would get everywhere. So I randomly checked off a couple of boxes, closed the organizer and rubbed it together. The ink stayed put and I put that concern to rest.
The magnet didn’t clip to my stainless steel refrigerator, so I decided to keep it on my magnetic backing to my office desk (it’s where I do my menu planning anyway). A feature that I really appreciated from this organizer is how you can store your pen right with your list. There is a slot on the magnetic and saves a lot of hassle for someone like me who loses pens all the time.
The list of groceries that Supermarket Smarty provides almost covers everything, from pita chips to batteries. If it’s on your list, it’s more then likely covered on this planner. If it’s not, no big deal there is a space for you to write down your specific requests.
Also, I don’t want to forget to mention that beside the listed items on the grocery planner are symbols that let you know your item is a good source of fiber, best to buy organic , a healthy fat, etc. There is also a I have a coupon spot to remind you to check your built in coupon holder to save on those items.
I love my Supermarket Smarty, it does everything I need to stay organized but it’s convenient enough where I can put it on my purse or clip it into my wallet. For more information please visit Supermarket Smarty’s website.
