Creamy Almond Dressing
Homemade salad dressings and vinaigrettes are some of my favorite recipes (along with the more popular ones on The Bewitchin’ Kitchen). I’m sure this creamy vegan almond dressing will become one of the greats as well.
Note: This recipe contains honey and is not vegan (sorry, my bad) but you can add maple syrup or agave to make it fit your vegan lifestyle!
This recipe was created for the Paleo Winter Bowl recipe (which will be on the blog January 1, so keep your eyes peeled). I’m a huge fan of homemade dressings, so much in fact that I’m working on a homemade salad dressing e-book. Until that goes live, you can check out a few of my homemade salad dressing and vinaigrette recipes.
I’m not a vegan, and I’m a far cry from a vegetarian but that doesn’t mean that I don’t enjoy meatless meals every so often. If you’re not a vegan as well, I think this would be a healthy substitute for mayonnaise in a chicken salad sandwich or even a marinade! This also puts a spin on a classic coleslaw dressing too.
To make this recipe, I recommend a high powered blender. This was made with a compact, portable blender but a Vitamix or Blendtec works faster (if speed is of the issue) and you don’t run the risk of powering out. That’s me though, I’m a huge fan of Vitamix but if it’s not within your budget this Cuisinart blender works, and so does Ninja (Ninja is awesome).
Creamy Vegan Almond Dressing
This creamy vegan almond dressing is easy to make and goes well with winter bowl recipes. Homemade salad dressings not just healthy, but simple to make! This recipe follows the guidelines of the paleo diet, 21 Day Fix and other Beachbody programs and if you omit the honey it is Whole30 approved as well.

This looks incredible! I love that it’s vegan too, even though I am also not vegan. Sometimes, you just need a good, go-to light dressing. Does it really require 1/4 cup of salt though? That seems like a lot….
I completely agree. I’m not vegan either. AH! NO! lol Thanks for catching that. 1/4 tsp.
Thanks for the recipe. My dad is allergic to soy and we always have a hard time finding him dressings that don’t contain it!! Looks like a keeper 🙂
I think I would love this dressing. You had me with the almonds, honey and garlic.
This sounds delicious, I love the idea of an almond dressing.
I love this! Especially for those of us who have dairy allergies. I will try this in a couple days when I host my Boxing Day Party.
Using the almonds in this dressing is intriguing! My son refuses to eat nuts based on texture so this would be an awesome way to still incorporate them into his diet.
Just wanted to let you know that honey is in fact not vegan. But you can easily replace it with agave nectar or other sweeteners. Thanks for the recipe!
Oh no! Thanks for letting me know.
I’m sorry this is not vegan. Honey is not vegan.
Replace honey with agave nectar
Thank you for pointing that out Ashley! I’ll fix it!
OMG I just made this salad dressing for my dinner! I used it for my elimination diet wohoo!!! Saved my salad looking veggies and salad bowl! Super easy! I made double the amount, replaced honey with Agave and used half the garlic amount. I also added water because it came out a bit like a nut butter, but with my mommy head I might have missed the water part in this in the recipe. Soo Yummy!!!! Thanks for sharing!!
