Why You’ll Love This Smores Dessert

  • Fast – This smores dessert goes from grill to sticky hands in about 10 minutes.
  • Easy – No pokey sticks, stacking hot marshmallows, or assembling. Pre-assemble in a pan and cook in one piece!
  • Inexpensive – Making smores on the grill only requires 3 ingredients for an inexpensive dessert that will feed a crowd.

How to Make Campfire S’Mores

Making campfire s’mores is even easier than the traditional way many people think of. Traditionally, a marshmallow is placed on a stick and roasted over an open flame, then maneuvered onto a graham cracker and layered with chocolate. This grilled smores recipe moves all of the assembly ahead of time — before anything is melting!

Assemble Smores

Preheat your grill to medium heat. It’s important to use a lower heat so you don’t burn the bottom graham crackers.

In a disposable pan, arrange 12 graham crackers in a single layer. Add marshmallows and chocolate of choice. Top with remaining graham crackers.

One all of the s’mores are assembled, cover your pan with foil.

Cook Smores On The Grill

Reduce heat to medium-low and cook for 5 minutes. Allow everything to rest for 5 minutes to allow the chocolate to melt before serving.

That’s it! This is the easiest dessert you’ll ever make!

There is nothing better than a dessert that requires no effort. If you want more chocolate, simply double the amount.

Grilled Smores Frequently Asked Questions

Which type of chocolate is best to use?

Campfire s’mores will work with your favorite type of chocolate. I have a friend who even likes to make her smores with white chocolate! However, from experience, I don’t recommend salted chocolate.

Can I Use Something Besides Graham Crackers?

I prefer my campfire smores with a traditional graham cracker. However, I’ve seen Biscoff cookies or ginger snaps used in lieu of graham crackers to give a little bit of spice and a new texture. You can use almost any sweet (but firm) cracker or cookie to make this dessert your own!
